Joseph Patrone
XC Head Coach, T&F Girls Head Coach
Specialty - High Jump, Hurdles
Joe Patrone was a successful high jumper in high school and college, and later became a track and field coach. He set the University of Rhode Island's indoor and outdoor records during his senior year in 1984, clearing 7' 4.25" (indoor) and 7' 3.75" (outdoor). After college he jumped 7' 6.5" which in 1985 ranked him 7th in the United States and 27th in the World.
Patrone began his coaching career at Somerville High School and has since coached at Lawrence High School, Peabody High School and is currently coaching at Wilmington High School. In addition to his high school coaching, he also does private high jump coaching and has worked with many high school high jumpers throughout New England.

Jake Danieli
XC and T&F Assistant Coach
Specialty - Long Sprints, Middle Distance
Coach Jake graduated from Wilmington High School in 2020. He competed in cross country and both Winter and Spring Track. His main events in track were the 400, 600, and 4x4 relay. After High School Coach Jake served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. He was stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA but served time in both South Korea and Australia. Coach Jake was awarded 2 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals for his meritorious service. After his time in the military Coach Jake began to assist with coaching, bringing his discipline, leadership, and commitment to excellence. Backed by years of training and leadership experience, he guides athletes to cultivate perseverance, respect, and dedication, while strengthening their resilience both in competition and in life.

Joseph Gaudreau
Track and Field Assistant Coach
Specialty - Short and Long Sprints
As a former collegiate sprinter at UMass Lowell in the 200m and 400m disciplines and a former WHS track and field athlete, he brings both competitive experience and a passion for developing young athletes. His coaching philosophy emphasizes mastering the fundamentals, discipline, and building confidence, while ensuring athletes enjoy the process and learn successful habits that will carry with them past their athletic career. Outside of coaching, he works in the tech industry and likes to stay active by participating in men's leagues and recreational athletics.
